With Frank Sinatra, Esther Williams, Gene Kelly
Two great American traditions—baseball and the musical—collide in this infectious farce. Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra are a pair of sluggers (and former vaudevillians) whose ball club is thrown into a tizzy when they learn the new owner is a woman (Williams). Sinatra croons, Kelly clowns, and Williams swims in this Technicolor MGM classic featuring “She’s the Right Girl for Me,” “O’Brien to Ryan to Goldberg,” and the title track.
