Founded in 1983, Mariachi Tapatio de Álvaro Paulino, under the direction of Puebla-born Mexican Álvaro Paulino, is considered one of the finest mariachi bands in New York City. The band’s music includes “corridos,” a form of storytelling in song that is enjoyed by young and old.
