Harlem community gardeners invite the public to tour Harlem’s amazing grassroots green oases. Visit opulent gardens, urban farms and other beautiful public spaces in upper Manhattan, on this Greenthumb tour. The day kicks off with a breakfast at the JD Wilson Garden on 122nd St., and ends with a traditional Harlem cookout at William Harris Garden, on 153rd St. & St. Nicholas. Buses for tour-goers who cannot walk or need alternative transportation will be provided by Greenthumb and the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation; however, attendees are encouraged to bicycle or walk the tour (both groups will be led by a guide).
