Music of Herbie Hancock Ensemble (Jazz Music)

A faculty-led student group, The Music of Herbie Hancock Ensemble is devoted to exploring the compositions of Herbie Hancock from the early sixties through the seventies. The New School / School of Jazz ensemble discusses and applies many key elements of Hancock’s writing and playing style, focusing on material from his Blue Note albums as well as on his later Headhunters compositions. Hancock’s concepts are applied to every instrument in the band. FREE.
