The Jaime Lucero Mexican Studies Institute at CUNY presents Sombresa Festival: Rethinking Mexican Culture Through Food and Conversations.
Join academics, students and food experts for this one-day festival on Mexican food and ideas. Attendees will listen to leaders in Mexican gastronomy, food industry and activism, experience the flavors, colors, textures, sounds and smells of a Mexican pop-up market and try new foods while engaging with the rituals and techniques of Mexican cuisine.
